After 13 seasons, Josh Donaldson Retires
After 13 years of Major League service, Josh Donaldson has decided it’s time to hang up the cleats. Third Baseman, Josh Donaldson was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2007 with the 48th overall pick in the draft out of Auburn University. Over the next 13 years, Donaldson would play for numerous teams including the Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, & Milwaukee Brewers.
Donaldson hit a career .261 and posted a career .847 OPS. However, his great offensive stats are not his only achievement. Donaldson is a 3x All-Star, 2x Silver Slugger Award Winner (2015, 2016), the 2015 AL MVP, & the 2015 Hank Aaron Award Winner.
