Looking at What Happend During Week 15 of the 2024/25 MLB Offseason
This past week players reported to their Spring Training complexes! This means that we only have a few more weekly recaps before the offseason is over. Today, we are going to be looking at the few things that happened during this past week of the 2024-2025 MLB offseason.
Free Agent Signings
*Red Sox Add Veteran World Series Champion*
The Boston Red Sox made yet another big move this offseason in their rebuild, signing 2x World Series Champion Alex Bregman to a 3-year, $120 million deal. With the Astros in 2024, Bregman hit .260/.315/.453 with 26 homeruns and 75 RBIs. With the Red Sox already having 3B Rafael Devers at the hot corner, Bregman could play second base for the Red Sox in 2025.
Dodgers & Future HOFer Reunite
The Los Angeles Dodgers and LHP Clayton Kershaw reunited for an 18th year with the two sides agreeing to a 1-year, $7.5 million deal. In 2024, Kershaw contributed to the Dodgers’ World Series Championship by going 2-2 with a 4.50 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 30 innings.
