Cubs Add Veteran Turner
The Chicago Cubs made a big splash in Week 7 of the offseason when they traded for RF Kyle Tucker. However, the Northsiders hadn’t made any major moves since until signing a World-Series winning veteran in 1B/DH Justin Turner. This deal, which is for 1-year & $6 million, will give Turner, 40, a home for his 16th MLB season. In 2024 with the Toronto Blue Jays & the Seattle Mariners, Turner hit .259/.354/.383 with a total of 119 hits, 11 of which were homeruns, and he drove in a total of 55 runs.
