Oklahoma Remains on Top After Week 2

Oklahoma's Dynasty in College Softball

The biggest dynasty in NCAA over the past few years had been the Georgia Bulldogs of College Football, who won back-to-back National Championships in 2021 & 2022. However, the biggest dynasty in College Sports over the past 10 years has been the Oklahoma Sooners Softball team.

After Week 2 of the 2024 College Softball season, Oklahoma remains ranked No. 1 in the nation yet again. The Sooners also continue to extend their record-breaking win streak over the past week. With 2 wins over the Central Arkansas Bears, 2 wins over the McNesse State Cowgirls, & 1 win over the Lamar Cardinals, OU has now won 61 straight games, including 26 run-rule wins.

Again, there is always a possibility of a lose anytime in the season, and even as an Oklahoma fan myself, I still know there will be a time that the Sooners’ win streak will be put to an end. However, the way they are playing, this will not be for a while.
