What If The ASG Rosters Were Only Players Who Were Snubbed?
The 2025 All-Snub All-Star Roster
Sunday afternoon, Major League Baseball announced the full rosters, including pitchers and reserves for both leagues on the All-Star Selection Show.
With every All-Star this year being announced, fans have made it clear that they are not happy about multiple players not being elected All-Stars. However, with MLB requiring at least one player to represent each team in the Midsummer Classic, deserving players were left off the rosters. Nevertheless, they are many players who were worthy of being an All-Star this year, but were not picked.
So, let's take a look at the players who were snubbed of being an All-Star and create a lineup composed of the top players who deserved to be an All-Star.
The All-Snub All-Stars Team
C: Carson Kelly | CHC | NL
The primary catcher for one of the top teams in the league, Kelly had a great start to the season, posting a batting average over .400 through the first month of the season.
On March 31st, Kelly became the first Cub since 1993 along with being the first and only player so far this season to hit for the cycle when he went 4-4 against the Athletics.
Kelly has a .268/.370/.508 slash line with 11 home runs and 31 RBIs right now, along with a 2.6 WAR.

1B: Michael Busch | CHC | NL
2025 has finally been the breakout season for Michael Busch, who owns the starting job at first base for the Chicago Cubs.
So far in 2025, Busch has hit .297/.382/.562 with 18 homeruns and 56 runs batted in.
Busch also has the 6th best OPS in the National League at .944 and has the highest WRC+ among qualified first basemen in the big leagues.
2B: Nico Hoerner | CHC | NL
Hoerner is the third Cub on this list, but he is still a snub of being on the National League’s roster.
Hoerner has a hitting slash line of .287/.335/.381 with 37 RBIs and 16 stolen bases. While the power numbers haven't been there for Nico this season, you can find him in second among all second basemen in hitting for average.
3B: Makiel Garcia | KC | AL
Garcia, who is having a breakout season with the struggling Kansas City Royals, should have joined his cousin, Ronald Acuna Jr. in the All-Star Game. However, Garcia was snubbed and will have to wait until next year for another opportunity to play in the Midsummer Classic.
Garcia is hitting .305 with 8 HRs and 40 RBIs along with 18 stolen bags so far through 91 games. This season, he's already topped his career high in home runs, showing more power (45.1% hard hit rate) and a batting average that is 8th in the league.SS: Trea Turner | PHI | NL
Trea Turner not being elected an All-Star this year might be one of the biggest snubs this season.
Through 90 games, Turner has hit .298/.348/.445 with 11 homeruns & 39 RBIs. Turners biggest case for the ASG however, is that he is the hits leader in the NL with 110 and he places 2nd in the entire MLB. *
In addition, Turner is top ten in stolen bases this season with 23.

OF: Andy Pages | LAD | NL
Similar to other players on this team, Pages finally has his breakout season in 2025. The 24-year old outfielder has more than doubled almost all of his big league stats from before this season.
Pages has a .283 BA and an .808 OPS in 90 games this season, in which he has hit 17 home runs and has 58 RBIs with a total of 95 hits.
OF: Juan Soto | NYM | NL
Soto’s first season of his massive 15-year, $765 million contract, started out very slow, with him barely hitting .200 through May. However, Juan has started to be the Soto Pacheco we know as of late.
In 91 games, Soto has hit 21 home runs with a .269/.399/.509 slashline and 52 RBIs. In addition to leading the National League in offensive WAR with a 4.1 OWAR and being third in the big leagues in that category.
OF: Seiya Suzuki | CHC | NL
Seiya will be the 4th Northsider on this team, but he is no short of deserving a spot on the All-Star team.
Suzuki has a batting average of .261 with a total of 25 homeruns and a league leading 77 RBIs.
DH: Rafael Devers | SFG | NL
Devers has had a wild 2025 season so far. From being replaced at third base to moving to a full-time DH to refusing to play first base to being traded in what has been referred to as the “Luka Doncic Trade of Baseball”, Devers has been through the highs and lows this season.
Through all of this, Devers has still managed to put up All-Star worthy numbers, hitting .261 with 17 home runs and 67 RBIs. In addition, Devers places 2nd in the MLB in walks at 70 bases on balls.
